What kinds of projects will be considered for funding?
In keeping with the Fund's goal of enriching life in Lowertown, and in support of the community's continuing growth, the Fund has placed no limits on the range of imaginative and creative projects or programs it will consider for financial support. However, applications should have the future of Lowertown, its residents, and its creative and business communities as their primary focus. Applications for grants must offer clear evidence that the connection to - and impact upon - Lowertown will be real and direct.

Who is eligible to apply?
Neighborhood or community-based nonprofit arts, cultural, social or civic organizations, schools and religious organizations who share the Fund's aspirations and goals are eligible to apply. Nonprofits designated as a 501c3 public charity may apply: ♦ On their own behalf ♦ On behalf of partnerships (including private and public partners) ♦ On behalf of an individual or group
What types of grants are available?
Grants range from $1,000 to $100,000. The amount and terms of any grant approved by the Fund's advisors will be based on the potential impact of the proposed program or project on the greater Lowertown community. The Fund is flexible in its approach to funding qualified projects or programs. Our preferred mode is to have our grants matched by other partnering organizations. We also provide one-time "seed" or demonstration grants, assisting in launching initiatives that have the potential to leverage our support with additional or longer-term assistance from larger foundations or private funding sources. However, the Fund can and might make multi-year commitments, as well as continued funding for worthy projects, after an initial grant is expired.
